Visiting Author Event – Feb. 6

The MMW PTO, in partnership with the Language Arts Department, is excited to share that 6^th grade students will have the chance to attend a special event award-winning author, Margi Preus, on February 6. Margi is a local Minnesota author who writes historical fiction, mystery & fantasy books for ages 10 and up. Her books have been recognized with a Newberry Medal Honor, Minnesota Book Award and Midwest Booksellers Choice Award, in addition to being on the NY Times bestseller list and featured on NPR radio.  During the event, students will participate in a presentation focused on the writing process and have a chance to ask questions.  You may purchase a copy of Margi’s books at Amazon or at the event.  Margi will autograph/personalize books if desired. Use the attached form to send with your child (either for books you buy in advance or at the event) if you want an autograph/personalization.
